Gage Park Trees + Air Quality Walk
Please join Environment Hamilton + Hamilton Naturalists' Club for a walk around Gage Park - the first in a series of 3 'Trees + Air Quality' walks. We'll do a casual walk around Gage Park's loop trail, stopping to admire some of its grand old trees along the way. Gage Park is nestled up against the Niagara Escarpment, south of Hamilton's heavy industrial core. So we'll also be talking about local air quality and about how much trees can help to address air pollution issues in the city.
The tour will end at the Children's Garden Project - a wonderful new addition to Gage Park and to the city. You'll have a chance to do a quick tour around the area and learn more about this initiative.
This walk will last approximately 1 hour and will take you along flat, paved terrain. We will be walking at a leisurely pace.
WALK START TIME: 6:30PM
WALK STARTING PLACE: Meet in the south parking lot of Gage Park. The walk will end at this location.
The Gage Park parking lot is marked with a 'yellow star' on the map below.
