NEW - Environment Hamilton announces PASSPORT TO HAMILTON, coming this July!
Increasing the quality and ridership on Hamilton’s public transit system is key to reducing local air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and improving accessibility for all members of our community. Environment Hamilton founded and continues to actively support the Hamilton Transit Users Group established in 2004 and advocates for affordable fares and improved service. In 2006 we conducted a door-to-door transit use survey of 3215 north Hamilton households, and utilized the resulting data to convince city officials to establish a new HSR route (Wentworth 12) on Victoria and Wentworth Streets.
